The way people behave, react, and perform in their professional roles all stems from their thinking style. Thought Code is a game-changing tool that gives business consultants, coaches, and employers rich data they can use to cut through the noise and identify tangible ways to improve the skills people need to succeed.
Over our years of leadership and coaching experience we’ve seen it all, from small businesses to large corporate teams. Our background in business, technology, and psychology allows us to view business objectives with a unique perspective, and one thing we know for sure is that many business leaders fail to tap into the true potential of their teams.
As businesses grow and change, the capabilities of their people also need to adapt to match business needs. And in order to help your people adapt, you first need to learn how they think – which is where Thought Code comes in.
Thought Code is a powerful tool that businesses, business coaches, and consultants can use to help people analyse
the way they think to identify strengths and areas
for improvement.
Unlike other profiling tools which focus exclusively on personality or behaviour, Thought Code gets to the root of the matter by focusing on thinking (which in turn, affects how you behave). Ours is also the only tool available that directly links capability development with specific business needs.
We partner with businesses, coaches, and consultants to teach you when to use it, how to interpret it, and how best to use results to guide
strategic decisions.
We’re a dynamic duo with deep expertise in both business and psychology and we’re looking forward to leading you through a journey to help you crack the thought code. But first, let us share our journey with you…
Clare successfully completed the academic and practical components of her psychology training and was certified as a Registered Psychologist in Australia. She started in counselling psychology and sports psychology, but ultimately gravitated toward organisational psychology.
Clare and Owen both worked at Accenture, a global consulting firm, which provided invaluable corporate experience. Owen already had an extensive background in global business management and technology, including running an international team of 40 people (who in turn oversaw a team of 200 people).
Owen’s passion for helping business owners achieve their goals inspired him to become an independent business consultant so that he could blend his business acumen with knowledge of personal development to create a unique business consultant offering.
Clare took a break from the corporate world for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be the Games Readiness Manager for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. This experience reinforced for her that people think very differently and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Success in her role came from recognising key differences between how each team operated and combining their strengths to achieve a common goal.
During this time, Owen gained invaluable experience running an international team of 40 people (who in turn oversaw a team of 200 people). During this time he managed large scale process and system improvements, and was pivotal in a successful number of mergers and acquisitions to assist in the global expansion.
Owen’s extensive background in global business management and technology, plus his passion for helping business owners achieve their goals inspired him to become an independent business consultant so that he could blend his business acumen with knowledge of personal development to create a unique business consultant offering.
After this unique experience, and drawing on valuable insights gained from their leadership and management roles in large global companies, Clare and Owen teamed up to start their own business in 2008. By blending their respective expertise in people and business, they started offering consulting services to small, medium, and
large businesses.
Owen made the key decision to leave corporate life and immerse himself in all things human capability and business strategy. Meanwhile, Clare also pursued additional skills to broaden and deepen her own expertise in human capability. Both Clare and Owen invested significantly in various qualifications related to human growth and development to broaden and deepen their knowledge and went on to accumulate over 20,000 hours of combined coaching experience globally.
Clare was featured as a success story in the Millionaire Coach and Business Millionaire book series, which highlights the value of having a business coach. Meanwhile, Clare and Owen were becoming increasingly frustrated with the profiling tools available to help their coaching clients. They noticed that putting clients through hours of profiling wasn’t yielding enough helpful information to be worth it, and decided to create a new tool.
After extensive research and testing, Clare and Owen launched Values Pendulum, the first profile tool to be focused on thinking. They introduced this groundbreaking tool to the coaching world and certified over 100 coaches in the first two years.
During their corporate years and in their work as business coaches and mentors, Clare and Owen had seen a gap in the market when it came to the availability of high-quality data related to human thought capability. They saw that businesses simply were not equipped with the information they needed to make strategic decisions about people that were aligned with specific objectives.
They noticed that businesses all too often invest in profiling or developing their people without consideration about what would best support both the individual AND the business needs at that time…which ultimately leads to little return on investment.
To fill this gap, Clare and Owen decided to combine their deep expertise in both human capability development and business to create a suite of profile tools specifically for businesses and business coaches who want to help with strategic decisions related to people.
Since their respective launches, over 1300 individuals completed their Values Pendulum Profile, and 574 individuals completed their Thought Code Individual Profile. Hundreds of teams have benefitted from Thought Code, and 57 organisations have completed the Thought Code Organisational Profile, which has helped them identify areas for improvement so they can align, adapt, and adjust their strategic priorities to address gaps. These organisations have gone on to receive targeted Thought Code Capability Matrix Profiles that have helped them pinpoint specific capabilities to invest in to keep their business growing.
Clare and Owen launched Thought Hackers, a group coaching program designed to help people get to the core of their problem and develop a strategy for working through it to improve their performance. This will be a key skill for everyone in the years to come to promote resilience and adaptability in changing times.
Whether you’re a business coach, consultant, or employer, this innovative profiling tool gives you insightful, actionable data about how people think so that you can create a plan to adapt their thinking and help them succeed.
